Hi Medsci! I am Asia and I will be the Peer Programme organiser for the 2nd Year PALs Programme!
A bit about me: I am Italian and I am a 3rd Year Medical Science Student. In year 2 I undertook Intro to Pharmacology, Molecular Biology of the Gene, Coding for Medical Scientists and Medical Genetics.
Outside of science I am the Social Sec of the Amateur Boxing Club. I enjoy training, finding new spots in town where to eat with my friends and meeting new people.
I really look forward to welcoming all of the Second Year students and hope you can take the most out of my sessions !

Orla Watson
I'm Orla Watson, a third-year Medical Sciences student.
I am on the pharmacology and therapeutics pathway and I hope to pursue a master's in drug design. I have been a member of the Debating Society since first year and enjoy attending debating competitions with other universities. I am the science editor for Exposé online and I've edited and published several articles a long with a few of my own. In my spare time, I enjoy thrifting vintage clothes and occasionally revisiting Minecraft.
John Holloway
Hi, I’m John and I’m a third year medical science student on the human genomics pathway.
I have particular interest in bioinformatic approaches to genetics, particularly with regards to epigenetics.
I have also worked in laboratories focusing on biochemistry, nutrition and genetics. I am part of the Exeter medics rugby and touch rugby clubs.
In my free time I enjoy running, cycling and trying to play golf!
Marguerite Besse

My name is Marguerite Besse and I’m a third-year Sports and Exercise Medical Science (SEMS) student.
I am part of the Swimming society, as well as the cheer and gymnastics society. Some things outside of uni I like to do in my free time are trying new coffee shops with my friends, trying new recipes, reading and doing gymnastics.

My name is Zwe Htin Lin and I’m a third-year Medical Science student.
This is i am undertaking the following modules: Health Econ, Cellular Basis of Immunity and Clinical Trials

Jack Mitchell
My name is Jack Mitchell, I'm a third year medical sciences student studying new therapeutics targets in cancer, health economics and rational drug design, In year two I studied anatomical science, advanced cell biology and microbiology and ethical issues of health research. I have been in both boxing and muay Thai societies at uni and I am currently trying to pick which to stick with for the last year. in my free time I like to go camping and exploring and travelling with my mates and also love art to relax in free time.

Hi, my name is Becky and I am a 3rd year medical science student and I am interested in going into psychotherapy after graduation. I am the president of Dodgeball society and I also play competitively against other universities. In my free time I love to read and play board games with housemates.
Alessandro D'Orazio
Hi, I am Ale a third year Medical Sciences student but currently applying to do medicine next year
I am not part of any societies but in my free time I enjoy cooking, playing basketball, naughty move night.
I also enjoy my HCA shifts, the gym sometimes, and not much else.
Dan May
Hi everyone, my name is Dan, and I am a third-year core Medical Sciences student. I have really enjoyed the physiology and pathophysiology elements of the course, so for my final year dissertation I am looking into the role of the immune system in neuropathology. My year two modules were Advanced Cells, Advanced Micro, Introduction to Health Research and Anatomical Sciences. This year I am studying Health Economics, New Therapeutic Targets in Cancer and Neuroimmunology.
Outside of my degree I run a breakfast for homeless people in Exeter or you’ll find me climbing down at the hangar.

Charlotte Aldridge
Hi, my name is Charlotte and I’m a third-year medical sciences student originally from Essex and very excited to be a Medsci PAL this year.
Last year I undertook pharmacology, neuroscience and anatomical science as my module choices for this year.
Outside of studying, I work part time as part of the student guild in many of the catering locations. I also take part in the dance society and this year hope to join the rowing society too.
I look forward to meeting many of you, and I hope to support you as well as the PALs did for me in my second year.
